I have a firestick and Shield. No issues from both and I use a VPN.
Go either witha shield or a dedicated stb like formuler or buzz TV xpl 3000 just easier for iptv. Just my opinion.

If you are looking for somebody to tell you that it'll be ok to drop a hardwire in favor of a wifi connection I'm sure you'll find plenty of people to chime in with their quick and random" I don't have issues" comment.
Behind that probable desire to spend less on a new box though, it sounds like you already know the real answer here without asking. If you are starting from scratch and buying new with IPTV in mind...you want to eliminate that potential problem variable and have a hardwire option. Period. That Amazon brand adapter is a complete connection speed killing pos as well btw.
