Hey guys, so my family has SmartIPTV. Whenever TV is not on, internet speed is stable, like (80mbps downl/30mbps upld) When IPTV is turned on, download speed drastically drops and I start to experience huge PING spikes. IS there any way to fix it?

That's bullshit. IPTV at most uses 5mbit. If this is happening than your provider is using traffic shaping and deep packet inspection to see wtf is going on and is seriously fucking with you. It is not your IPTV that is doing this but your provider that is fucking with your connection. What I would suggest doing is getting an android box, setup a VPN and use your IPTV that way and see if it still happens. Or get a router with VPN capabilities or even a secondary router with DDWRT or Tomato, have it bridged and have your TV on that router with the VPN setup.
IPTV will not cause the issues you are having.
Just be lucky you get 80 down and can watch it without buffering
Maybe router can't keep up
For gaming you don't really need much bandwidth, 3Mbps (oh, might take up a few Mbps more if there is a lot of voice chat?) is more than enough usually unless it's a game that's constantly downloading bits like a generating world. If you have a router capable of limiting download speed per device then I would try and limit SmartIPTVs bandwidth. I've got a 400Mbps/40Mbps line and have 100Mbps (I don't think it's using all of that, but I was seeing buffering more often when I had it limited to 50Mbps) set just for IPTV box, I think I would try and give the SmartIPTV 50Mbps and see how smooth it runs. Most routers have the QoS feature, you should be able to set per device IP/MAC address and give it a specific amount of bandwith somewhere in there. Try that and see if it helps.
Firstly if you're using the standard router that came with your package then switch it. Almost all low budget routers are better than the thing you get sent.
Secondly check QoS is switched on, if possible, in the router settings.
Lastly: if you're using wifi for everything try and move some things to cabled, if you have nowhere to lay cable get some powerline adaptors, should help massively with speeds.
I think something else is going on here with your network.
It's highly unlikely related to the tv. I've never seen a smart tv hit a network that hard.
If you're absolutely sure the tv is to blame, the easy solution is to disconnect the tv from the internet altogether.
Are you gaming on wireless or wired?
You really haven't given us enough info to help troubleshoot.
If you're really almost a pro gamer, it's time for you to set your equipment up properly aka wired. No pro gamer would ever rely on a wireless connection.
Some IPTV Providers don't use the best codec's from what I've seen so therefore the streaming takes up more bandwidth than others.
one of the best that works on low bandwidth I've seen is the GOLD service. As for IPTV Express, that one requires more bandwidth.
People say all sorts of things but the reality is that depending on the codec they use, it may/may not use more or less bandwidth.
Hopefully with time more people will be moving towards HVEC (if I'm correct) as that one providers high quality with low bandwidth.
That's strange. My stream is so low it doesn't even show up on the bandwidth monitor of my router. It's crazy good quality too.
I'd try the service on a different device first my man, perhaps your mobile whilst on thee WiFi. See how it works then. If it's still the same then maybe it is the service or your provider. Then perhaps try a VPN this could help rule out your ISP up to no good but isn't a cert.
An hour long 1080p movie is only around 4000Mb, so divide that by 3600 to get how much bandwidth per second it is.
Its around 1.11Mbps, so 9mega bits /s. You should still have 70mbps left.
I have a better ip service +31634354354
Look at your router and see if it offers QoS and enable it. That should help with your streaming issue
