Dreamlink T2 problems

Was wondering if someone only this sub could help out. So I have a dreamlink t2 that I have a wired connection to using a dlink av2 gigabit kit. I recently got gigabit internet through Rogers, and when I tested my speed on my dreamlink box, it was capped around 36 mbps. Anyone know what could be the issue here?

Edit: When I check my speeds using my pc connected to the modem, its capped around 950 mbps. Should I expect such a big drop when using powerline connectors?

The T2 is only a 100mb/s ethernet adapter, so it won't register any more than that. Not sure what effect a powerline adapter would have, but wouldn't think it would be that much.
