I am looking to get IPTV for my SONY AF8, I have downloaded the SmartIPTV app from the appstore. Is Vader compatible with the Sony Android Smart Tvs or would i need to use a firestick instead?

I have a Chinese off brand tv with Android Tv UI and I have Perfect player and Extreme iptv player installed and they both work perfectly with the Vader’s service.
I have a sony xe9305. Using vaders on kodi, manually settings the pvr client, working perfectly without issues.
You should be fine. I am not familiar with the app in question but if your TV has the android tv UI it should be fine.
I have Vader's on my Sony bravia linked up to the main TV guide using tvirl. It also works using perfect player and the Vader's app

use it with live channels via tvirl...far better.

I have used both the Vader APK and Perfect Player on two different Sony Bravias (I just bought the second today after my other died). No issues on either!
Try side loading Vader’s APK and ProgTV. Both worked good on a Sharp 4K Android tv before I got a dedicated android box
Do these tvs with built in android have enough power to properly handle IPTV? I mean...how much ram is available, what kind of cpu power, etc...
Seems like alot of details we can't get.
