IPTV Extreme pro android APP - RECORD to external USB flash drive

After trying for a few hours trying various formats inc exfat , fat32, ntfs

I can get the android box to detect the drive but when I load iptv extreme pro it will not allow usb as a selection for recording so the internal memory of android box is used.

I did a test and 10mins if 1080 = 355megs

will need to either buy a 64gb rom box so can hold more storage recordings.

any ideas on how to record live iptv to external storage please help ?

someone mentioned a enigma2 box should be able but I want a definite answer.

Did you try reaching out to the developer of the app? He is very responsive, if app does not support external drive you could ask him for the feature.

Microsd works for me with this app and I didn't have to do anything special. I did have to select that I wanted recordings to go to a specific folder on the microsd.

I'm able to select the MicroSD on my FireTV Gen2 with the non pro version and record to it. It also shows a USB thumb drive I have attached and allows me to select it but it won't record to it.

You have to remember that you are going to be limited to a 4GB file size with the fat32 file system. I also use IPTV Extreme on my PC with BlueStacks to get around the file size limit for recording and use Plex to watch those files on my FireTV.

the developer of the app IPTV extreme pro just replied to my email. He states with recordings -->

Hello and thank you, you can change the download folder under settings.

If when you select the download folder the device shows up the application directory chooser instead of the android default it means your device does not have a content provider for SAF (Storage access framework) used in android 5 and above to grant permissions on external folders.

In these cases the only way to record on the external memory is to use the application dedicated folder under /storage/MEMORYNAME/Android/data/com.pecana.iptvextreme/files

Ok after some stuffing around I am able to get an external sd card to appear but not usb

usb recording will not work at all ..
