Vader question

by Lkoop92

Hi guys,

I've been using Helix with SmartIPTV on my LG Smart TV.

Their service is great. I watched UFC 229 all the way through with no buffering. The only downside is the VOD section is lacking for me. They have a handful of good tv shows and a few movies.

Can anyone with Vader tell me what the VOD selection is like and if it works with SmartIPTV?

5$ for a 48 hour trial is a no go for me atm.

Honestly VOD on Vader is a mess. Don't subscribe for their VOD.

IPTV is not about VOD. VOD is an after thought. There are apps for this, like showbox, jet, hdmovies, etc, but they require you to get a cheap $50 android box, with 2 gigs of ram, 16 gig rom (or splurge and get a z7+). Honestly, it will make your viewing experience much better because you can use much BETTER applications for watching TV. You can also get a plexshare or an embyshare. Or if you are really ambitious, build your own server and start downloading your own movies, especially if you have a 4k TV.

Vader VOD selection is huge, but is down or has severe buffering issues more often than not.

I would double check that your vader seller is legit. There's no 48 hour trials, its only 24 and $5 seems pretty high.

I’m done with Vader’s. cancelled a few months ago and glad I did. Got tired of the freezing and buffering - especially on big sports events.

Vader's VOD, when it works, is a lot more extensive.

To note though and making the direct comparison to the UFC 229 experience, you certainly end up paying a price on the other end to get that. But you can join their chat and scroll back to when their servers predictably crashed at the start of the main event card to see proof of that for yourself.

Instead of going for VOD content, which puts a huge strain on providers, why not look into other options? Kodi, Plex, etc. Seriously you can get much better quality from streaming video than from IPTV and the IPTV providers can focus on live TV.
