Just as the title states I want to use this in Kodi
Since the rise of APKs Kodi has basically been an IPTV development afterthought, and in most provider cases where they do still offer a Kodi addon really only exists for the paper claim of stating their service runs on it.
That said the best way imo starts with using a custom kodi skin that supports it, and which offers the customization option to set up short cuts. A small but always key feature I always look out for is one that also sees the back button open up the channel group menu while in the EPG, which makes navigating around a lot easier and unfortunately isn't a an option in every skin.
The Titan Beta skin directly out of the dev's own repo found here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=258110 (and not out of the official Kodi repo and which tended to be buggier) was always my favorite that fit the above bill. Beefier skin though, and ideally run on a Nvidia Shield rather then a lower end device.
Most suppliers offer a Kodi addon and there's always xstream. Just ask before you sign up.
I've used a couple via perfect player and that works really well, and outside Kodi.
I find that Kodi is the most difficult to use with IPTV. In PVR client when you have some stream issues, it kicks you back to the EPG.
Simple IPTV Provider is a nice way to do things....
Put in your playlist, and then go to tv...
Look up r/EmbyShares for VOD providers. there are some good ones in there. There is also an emby for Kodi addon.
