STBEmu Pro Issue w/ Sky Broadband

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with my broadband and STB Emu Pro. I'm using STB Emu Pro on an open box with Sky Fibre Broadband but the app keeps crashing.

When I'm using STB Emu Pro, around after 30 / 40 minutes of use, the video feed will just cut off and the screen goes black. The info bar at the bottom of the screen (where it details what on the channel etc.) keeps appearing and disappearing but the video stays black. To get it back on, I need to close and re-open STB Emu which then refreshes the portal and starts the video again.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I've been lead to believe it's due to my broadband provider, Sky, but surely this can't be the issue. I've been into my router settings and turned off Sky Shield etc. to allow the best connection but it still happens.

Edit 17/10 - I have been messing with a number of settings to try and sort out the problem.

I seem to have fixed it, I have changed the settings regarding the ethernet to give the box a static IP, rather than a dynamic IP.

I have also changed my STBEmu from a Pro version to a free version but I'm thinking the issue is down to the IP address. Hope it helps.

Funny enough I had the exact same issues last night and I'm also with Sky. I tried a VPN though and got the same issues so not sure whether it was an issue with stbemu, my iptv provider or Sky

You might want to try turning off the Sky Broadband family filter as these often block many services, wether they're offensive or not.

Change the media player in stbemu to ijk (default) should work fine then
