Which MAC address to give to my IPTV provider

by MSPORTBMW

Hi there....just wondered if someone could help me. Im now in the process of getting a iptv sub and it allows 5 connections including 1 MAC connection. I will be using an android tv box and STB EMU PRO (which ive never used before). My question is......if i have my android box connected by ethernet cable, is it the ethernet MAC address that i give to my iptv provider? Or do i still have to give the wireless one? Sorry for the newbie question, but ive never tried the STB EMU app before and the IPTV providers (from what i have read) always ask for the wireless MAC address.

Any help would be apprieciated.

If you are using an android box, a good reseller will assign an active MAC address for you with all the setup instructions. PM me if you need a link.

You need to supply the MAC address you can find (and, if needed, edit) in your STBemu profile. Just set up a profile and check the MAC there.

The STBemu mac address is virtual and only used for STBemu connections to your provider. It‘s irrelevant whether you use WiFi oder Ethernet to connect to the net as that MAC address isn‘t used for authentication.

Btw: If you‘re talking about Vaders... they now allow up to 5 MAC addresses. Still restricted to max. 5 connections on up to 3 IP addresses (home/work/mobile - no sharing!), though.

Settings -> Profiles -> (choose your profile or create one) -> STB configuration -> MAC-address

Evening,

Unless you really want to use STB EMU pro there are better more flexible apps/programs for an Android box. Once you sign up for a MAG (i.e. the MAC address) youm kinda stuffed for other options. You should try m3u apps. Much more options out there. Happy to help you out if you need some advice :)
