Which IPTV box should I get?

by Ethrem

Edit 2: I bought a Formuler Z7+ and while it has some bugs, it’s definitely a nice experience.

Edit: Nevermind, I just set up ProgTV and I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner. Even timeshift and recording works and the EPG is awesome. I’ll be happy with this for now!

I am trying to decide which box I should get and could use some advice.

I’m looking at the Mag 410, Mag 351/352, Mag 322, and Formuler Z7+

I honestly would like to have a device that can do 4K IPTV and that’s why the Mag 410 is at the top of my list since the 351/352 are incredibly expensive.

I would like to be able to record to an external hard drive as well.

I’m open to suggestions of course, I’m new to all this, but IPTV Smarters, Kodi, and STBemu are just not doing it for me and Perfect Player gave me a massive migraine.

I’ve got a Shield but it looks like I’m going to have to invest in a dedicated box if I’m ever going to be happy.

For what it’s worth, I do like the interface in STBemu although I find it to be a bit slow.

Being able to actually search the EPG for a specific channel is a big plus.

I’ll probably be running 2 providers, maybe 3. I don’t know how well these handle multiple providers.

Get your Apple 4k TV and download RIPTV. That's what I do and it is working very well for me for 2 years now.

with your apps have you tried IPTV extreme pro app on android ?

it allows recording and timer presets etc .. the only issue is you can only record to a sd card .. I have been trying to record to a usb external flash drive and a hard drive with no luck

WWWHHHOOOAAAAAA!! On the Mag Box. I have just found out, to my detriment, that infomir are rolling out newer Mag boxes with what’s called “Ministra Middleware”. I have no idea what this means only that I purchased a Mag 349 only to find out after the event that it has Ministra middleware and that few IPTV subs support it currently. I’m sure there are services out there that do support it but I would specifically ask if it supports the Mag Box you intend to purchase. For my 2 cents worth a Magbox is made for IPTV and is well worth the money. There are other things like Nvidia Shield, FireTV and Firesticks plus android boxes that are all more than cable of running IPTV and they’re also more flexible in what they offer. But if it’s IPTV only then you’d go a long way to beat a MAG. Hope that helps......SORRY, JUST REALISED YOUR SORTED.

I absolutely HATED perfect player on my both of my Shield TVs. Once I started watching some YouTube tutorials on using things like Catch-up(Archive) and VOD with Vaders I started to really understand how it functioned. Now, I can't live without it. I feel your frustrations and hope you find something you like!

I have Livebox from Goldenbox, 2019 newest IPTV box on the market. I am happy with it, easy to set up, over 1500 channels, and high quality output.

I also heard MAG 322 is good for the money, much cheaper but does the work good.

Here is a comparison chart of best selling IPTV streaming box on the market now. Just look through the listings and pick the best one working with your provider. Good luck!
