Got my mom a dreamlink T2 box. It has a regular remote like a cable box. She operates it just fine. I picked a stable iptv provider that has few channels 500 and not a lot of HD but hardly ever buffers.

She loves it. The subscription ran out and she turned into golem and her precious box. She blew up my messages for 3 days like an emergency life or death situation while I was out of town on business.

New Fire Stick looks awesome. It launches on Halloween. New Miibox at Walmart just launched.

I get trying to stay cheap but if she hated the Roku it was probably because its not easy for her to use. Keep it simple for her. None if this Firestick with kodi or some apk stuff!

Just get a dedicated box. The Formuler ZNano is under $100 and will work very much like a standard cable box. Dreamlink Dlite is the same.

If you want her to like it and use it, keep it simple for her.

Or an Android Box like the H96.

I have been advised guys here to buy an Apple TV and download RIPTV app. It is very simple and easy to use. I have it for 2 years now.

The MiBox I think would be good with a good IPTV app

Amazon Firestick with Smarters IPTV! We've got loads of folks running them and there cheap, and get the job done really well. Smarters is easy to install and it's modern, fresh and very easy to use! Definitely worth a look :)

I've taught mine how to use Perfect Player personally; she's pretty damn proficient at using it now for someone not that way inclined. Oh, she's also a dab hand at Smart IPTV lol
