I use IplayTv, it’s great, has everything. And if your provider has Vod, it sorts it nice with posters and other movie info.

iPlayTV is my go-to since it consistently works and has a nice interface. I rarely find myself switching over to the Shield.

A few drawbacks, but none of them dealbreakers:

• You sort of have to use the Apple TV remote. Can't use, say a Harmony, without losing functionality--the side swipes or taps are important
• No catchup capability
• No Xtreme codes support--m3u only
• No last channel capability
• No ability to reorder channels/groups, or say favorite an entire group

I have a Shield TV and a Apple TV 4K with iplaytv. The interface is much better or iplaytv and 8/10 the streams work. It’s not perfect but it’s easy to use. On the Shield TV I have perfect player and the provider apps. No problems with streams at all but I use the Apple TV more for IPTV.

iplaytv or Riptv are the one I am using but I also hear that GSE PRO IPTV PRO is also good :D

As far as IPTV apps go this is by far the best of them on any platform, except maybe dreambox, which is good because there's really not many IPTV apps for the Apple TV.

IPlayTV is pretty awesome. I don’t have any complaints

I use GSE Pro and it works great and is feature rich. It can do software or hardware decoding has a favorite channels section and blah blah blah.

I was always curious what the attraction was to MAG boxes over streaming boxes.

Why get trapped in the Apple ecosystem? Why?

If you can money enough money on appletv, ill say go for sheild

Does anyone know if the people that made iPlayTV are still working on it and updating it regularly?
