ISP Blocks are not working, What next for the big companies ?

by fooali

Blocks don't seem to be causing too much of a disruption these days and all i see is that IPTV is getting more and more popular by the day.

Surely they won't just sit back and allow this to go on so my question is what are the current technological alternatives out there they can use to fight this Pandemic and are they quietly working on something that one day we will all be blacked out

CCam was killed by encryption techniques first tested on SKY hd italia, do you remember the push free new hd tv with a hd box this was the reason.

Regarding IPTV it's a lot more difficult personally I think the industry will adapt by offering solutions to deter customers like spotify, Netflix how else can they stop it.

The only technology I can think of is Traffic Shaping, ie even if streams are encrypted ISPs will be able to reliably work out it's a stream and block accordingly apart from this I'm not aware of any other technologies.

People are paying for netflix because the pricing is spot on. Until sky get real ( which will never happen ) expect iptv to stay.

i think the only way they beat it is to come to the party with pricing, i mean if they offered all sport, movie channels and entertainment channels for say $40 a month id pay it and im sure a ton of other people would too, surely get more numbers in at $40 is worth it rather than trying to sell it for $130 to few people but slowly bleeding customers to IPTV because of high cost..

The only people that are losing this battle are the companys and their loyal customer, cause the people that are paying for their losses are the loyal customers when the package goes from $130 to $135, then $137.50 and keeps rising and rising to try cover losses...

Maybe just adapt and try to make some money for a change. These stupid cat and mouse games they play to shut down services don't help their bottom line. Most people have no idea what iptv is or how or where to buy it.

Quite a lot of The channels out there offer no streaming or no service outside their country. Ip tv exists in many places because the content isn't accessible any other legal way. That's why I iptv.
