Honestly the android boxes are better as they can do 4k, which some of the providers have been toying with. Either a Z7+(Z8 coming in the new year), or a Buzz. Your other option would be just to get a cheap Android box and use smarters, or perfect player. You can splurge and get a Shield, but that is honestly overkill. Though it will allow you to do do 4k Netflix, if you hate the layout your TV app has.
MAG's are for the best transparent experience. They aren't exactly the best hardware.

It might have slightly better specs than mag 254 and 322, but the box is discontinued. The widly used one now is mag322.
