There are some IPTV providers that use Sling among other services. Actually, last time I saw a box restarting that showed it was SlingTV might have been FAB. I've also seen FuboTV and PSVue. Now, if you mean just basically creating a copy of it with nothing else then the reason might be because of competition. Why would you go with a service that has the 50 SlingTV channels for $8 when you can get the IPTV service with 500 channels for $15. Either way still costs them money to run the boxes, get the services, and host them. I haven't used SlingTV in some time but back when I did it was 80% reliable, might be better now but that could be another reason why it's not widely used.

Back in the FTA days of 2000 thru 2010 all they did was emulate a true subscription by copying the card. It was a simple method that worked pretty well via card duplication and one way satellite signals. Now Sling is a whole different territory with a two way connection that relies on credential verification as well as IP detection.
In short it is possible to do a streaming of sling tv and that's what some iptv providers are doing via their servers. Remember if has been made by man it can be duplicated by man !
