Stbemu - Optimum settings to avoid buffering/stutter

by shindeashish

Would like to know what are the settings to get optimum performance out of stbemu (free) on firetv (not stick). Already have a decent connection of 300mbps.

Have tried most of them like localization, disable network cache etc. But problem on buffering or stutter persists.

Please post tweaks that worked for you to reduce buffering or stutter.

  • Wired connection only ( NOT WIFI )
  • log into your router and try different DNS
  • if forced to use WIFI then try changing wifi channels ( 6 or 11 )

also as mentioned IPTV servers to your location and such can also cause problems especially if your using a vpn.

this is why a free trial of the service to test it before purchasing is always the best way to go.

Everyone always blames wifi or your device and most of the time its total bullshit. Ive just watched netflix 4k for hours over wifi but suddenly the wifi is to blame errrr no. 95% of issues are your isp and your iptv service and neither of these every admit anything is wrong.

Only one is you need to change is buffer size in advance setting.

Network cache is for storing a local cache of channel list. Nothin to do wit buffer

Blue-Thunder

more than likely it's your provider. You could also install SPMC/Kodi and try that as well and see if it performs any better.

NetCaptive

See if your router supper SQM and then configure it.

I'm on a 10mb Comcast link (bursts to 15) and don't suffer buffer issues with my AppleTV on WiFi (using iplayTV app).

Try the Top left menu>Common Settings>Accelerated Rendering option. Try each option in there. This option seems to work wonders in the Smarters app!
