Is there any android app (or service with branded app) with interface similar to MAG? STB emu for some reason crashes every minute on Fire tv 2nd generation, so looking for app where I don't need to go to separate menu section to watch catchup (like Smarters does).
AFAIK, STBEmu is the only one.
Try a factory reset on the firestick and reinstall.
Did you sideload aptoide on the fire tv? While I only have a firestick I found 2 or 3 versions of stbemu in the aptoide market and only 1 of them actually works on the firststick 4k. the other ones just crash during loading.
Perfect player may fit your criteria, think it needs M3u rather than MAC though.
StbEmu runs great on a gen2 Fire TV. You must have a bum download.
