You as well!? My Chromecast has played up with GSE for about 2 months now! Really disappointed because it used to work perfectly. I've resigned to buying a Firestick now and stop casting from my phone :(
I guess the only other thing you can do is install VLC and then select the alternative player in GSE and select VLC. Not all the streams seem to cast through VLC though :(
PerfectCast from perfect player works well for me
