Free sucks unless it's acestream, but even those are usually hidden on forums. Reddit used to have subs for these types of things, but the new management have been fucking assholes and cracking down hardcore on discussions of violation of copyright and several subs have been banned, or have their posts removed immediately.

Research and trials. Lots of good services do less than 10$ a month. Trials are the way to go.
