I've been using iptv-epg.com for playlist and EPG data, and it has a nice feature where it notifies me once per day of what has changed. Is there any other way to do this (i.e. a free way)? It is nice knowing what is deleted/added/changed each day.

Not free, but cheaper if you have a playlist with thousands of channels/vod is xtream editor
What causes favorite channels to change when using an m3u playlist?
It's not free, but IPTV-EPG.com sends you updates anytime your playlists have changes from your providers.
