They're not blocking the VPN there blocking the hosting provider. Most will block them to keep people from restreaming the feeds.
I use SOCKS5 thru a London DigitalOcean server and recently (about a month or so ago) my IPTV stopped working with '401 Unauthorized..' errors. I span up a new DigitalOcean droplet but this time in Amsterdam just to see, but result was the same. The IPTV service works fine thru my 'normal' IP address in the UK but no longer thru DigitalOcean. I even created another new droplet on DO with an X server and tried directly thru VLC and FFPLAY ....but bosh: "401..."
Would this definitely be the IPTV co blocking cloud servers for fear of respawning, or might it be DigitalOcean trying to stop their customers sapping all their bandwith?
I haven't asked either of them yet!
Also with the changes to UK law I'm surprised there are still uk based servers for VPN. The laws have gotten strict about stuff
