Haven't seen this before. Where are you based?

sgunnage

Ouch, maybe you need VPN?!

Blue-Thunder

So I guess this means it's time to stop using MAG devices in you're in the EU? I mean with their copyright laws and shit it's fairly obvious that big brother is much more powerful there than anywhere else. I wonder how much longer it will take before this shit hits this side of the pond?

Update: took a while for the provider to answer my message, but he sent me a new portal address, and i'm back in business again. I'm not a pro on this stuff but it looks to me like it could be like u/Sylocule said; Infomir are being ordered to block iptv providers' portal addresses, or the portal address got blocked to my country.

Blommin

I'm based in Finland. The provider is "iptv malta mag 2" on facebook. My sister uses the same provider and got the same message.

It means that Infomir (who make the Mag boxes) has started blocking IPTV providers. Ask your provider for an alternative portal URL (or look for an alternative provider).

Infomir are in a difficult position, it is difficult for them to argue that they are not enabling IPTV services. Technically the boxes can be used for legit purposes but the number used that way must be pretty small.

firasarhaam7

This message is from mag itself, they might have blocked ur IPTV server ...which portal is it?

konnixxx

Somehow the Mag box is getting the updated black list ..

This happened to my box yesterday, i skimmed through the DNS logs on my pi-hole server for the mag box

and I saw no dns request being made to unknown server. Looks like the blacklist is being retrieved and updated directly on some IP address. Maybe if someone finds out that ip address ..

That address could then be blocked on the LAN to prevent further blacklist updates.

Sylocule

There was a thread here a while back discussing this exact issue. Infomir are being ordered to block certain IPTV providers.

Estartithomey

Happened to my sub aswel contacted supplier given me other portal to use bud was very laggyvthen. So I changed provider. With JD hosting now runs we'll.

ToddingtonJr

That will only affect mag boxes not STB emulators on android right!!!

Estartithomey

Not sure, I can't control that , hope not for a while.

androiduser420

People say a reflash of fw fixes the issue.

GalKiefer

Saw your post this morning at work and wondered if it'd happened to my box too, home now and sure enough it has. Have contacted my supplier for a new portal, assuming they are working on a new one.

ahrhome

Infomir is blocking now http://mag.siptv.app

chrispy1973

Statement from Infomir. https://www.infomir.eu/eng/press-center/news/201-infomir-protects-the-copyright/ - so basically, stick your Mag in the Trash, and get something else.

Boydude

Downgrade the firmware and switch off auto-update fixed the problem for me.

Doddsville

Use a VPN. Problem solved.

RobUwish76

It's a bug

Reflash and back up and working.

endchat

this can mean that you don't have an active service with the portal url you have entered. Check with your provider and then reload portal
