M3U player - what's good?

Hello... Hope this is the right place to post this.

I've got a MXQ PRO 4k box, probably couple of years old. Not the most powerful box out there, but it works.

The box works great when I subscribe to any existing IPTV provider, rarely any lag or freezing. However I recently discovered M3U lists and downloaded an app called IPTV 4.2.2 ( https://iptv.en.aptoide.com/ ) from Aptoide which seems to work OK however I notice that any channel I bring up to watch freezes for a few seconds, then will go back (almost like rewind) for a few seconds then start up again.

I've gone through the configuration/set-up options and turned on buffering so that at least a few minutes is buffered but I still run into the same problem.

Can anyone suggest other apps that might do a better job? Or is it the box I'm using? As I mentioned, works fine for many of the IPTV providers out there -- just freezes when I import M3U lists.

Appreciate any advice you can offer.

Try anothy player and see what happens. You can change stream type, player, buffer size and see. Some say clearing cache and rebooting router can help too.

So far I’ve been using VLC on my HTPC, wasn’t super impressed with Perfect Player on the mibox. I would appreciate someone’s input as well
