IPTV on PS4

Question

Hello!

I was looking for a way to watch IPTV on my PS4. I do have an android stick, but I am not really a fan of the remote (I have an Rii Mini i25). Probably I could get a better remote (open to any advice, by the way) but in the meantime I was looking to see if I could use the play.

Seems like I have to setup a plex server on a computer in the same network. Is that right?
Is there another way? Would a Raspberry Pi 3 be enough?

No idea on the PS4, but a Raspberry Pi will easily do the job. There are a number of options: OSMC, LibreELEC, OpenELEC, etc.

You could try a web player. Not much I know about IPTV and the PS4. You could install Pluto TV while searching so you won’t have a blank screen for hours.

Maybe a jailbroken ps4 , but sony doesnt have apps that you can use iptv on. plus sony has the vue why would they want iptv on their system. Have to see if someone developed  an app for a jailbroken ps4. an amazon firetv with stbemu works pretty well and is cheap.
