Create apk using custom m3u list

by pospam

Hi all:

Hope someone can give me some help.

My iptv provider has his own app for android devices that works pretty well. This one downloads all the channels that the service has. I helped my father, who is 75, to install it in his firestick. For him, all this channels are more a bother than useful.
I was able to get the m3u and edit it with only the channels that he would use.

Now, is there any way to recreate the apk using this new m3u list so that he can install it?

I know he could use something like prefect player, but the interface of the apk is way simpler for him.

Any other idea you guys have to make it easier for the old man?

Thanks

Your best option is probably Xtream editor you'll most likely have to use a different app though

Either ask for your m3u again or most simple for him would be using the stbemu app with a portal. Ask them if they can change ur m3u to a Mac adress should do it.

Stbemu is very very easy to use not much can go wrong.

Hi, unfortunately you can't , apk use xc api which download all channels from server unless you ask provider to remove channnels that you don't need (if he can, not all providers have this option)

Does the app have a favorites section? You could just put his channels in there.

I do something similar for my parents. I build the M3U in notepad++ and then keeping the m3u format I put it in a private GitHub Gist. I the. Use that raw gist in the apk where you would normally put the m3u.

Works out just fine, and this way if a channel is down or need to add/remove I do it all from my home and just update the gist.

Of all the apps out there that can handle m3u lists. Which one you think might be the best for non say person like my dad? Off course if it is easy but has buffering problems he wont like it.

A little more involved but you could use a proxy like xteve, do the channel filtering there, and have him use Emby or Plex for watching

What iptv provider are you using? I am looking for one that provides m3u list. Tx
