Options and variety are great! But unless you're James Bond or a multi-language interpreter, chances are you can only understand let's say, 1000 channels? I get the initial amount of channels offered compared to basic cable or satellite, but how many are you watching on a weekly basis?
Every single person in the world has their own fav channel. So a provider has to offer this many channels to attract customers. I easily dropped a good provider because they were missing one of my most watched channel.
Have about 60 in my Fav group that I mostly watch. From 8000 maybe 800 work.
True, I only watch UK and us and few sports that's it. Instill belief good IPTV provider shud choose quality over quantity

I make a list of about 250-300 channels that I scroll through regularly. Of those, I probably watch about 60-70 of them with any regularity, but I would want all of them in my Favs list just in case they have something on I want to watch whenever I am scrolling through.
I hate grouping. I want all the channels I like with full EPG in a single list of channels that I can scroll through when I'm trying to find something to watch. I don't want to swap groups.

Whatever channel is showing an NBA game on that given night pretty much. Having the option of so many channels is comforting though lol
I regularly watch 50-75 sports channels, a handful of cable channels, and MSNBC.
Maybe 50 max. Other never get touched.
I know people that just don't pay for IPTV or use a crappy IPTV service just because most IPTV providers don't have their 3-4 channels they want to watch form their home country.
I myself only watch maybe 30-40 channels max, English and Latino content and my favorites or most watched are less than 12.
About 35 channels favorited but that's myself and the others in the house
I currently have 71 channels in my favorites. That's the only section I look at.
I always recommend people look for a server that focuses on what they want. In my case it's UK, Irish & American channels and that's all that is available on the one I use. If a server has 8000 channels the overall quality of the service offered degrades. The people in charge don't have the time to monitor and maintain that many channels. They're just trying to attract as many customers as possible.
I only watch about 10 channels myself.
