Help a NOOB! STB EMU on android box stuttering/repeating/freezing...

by storylad777

Hello all,

I want to know what settings I can choose in stb emu to help improve my service?

I've been messing about with stb emu for a few months and I have upgraded to pro. I've had many different providers and sometimes it will keep stuttering, repeating or freezing to the point where I turn off the device completely. And then sometimes it will work without any problems at all.

I have done many speed tests on my internet and the results show it fluctuates a lot. I have spent many many many hours in stb emu trying to configure the settings, half of which I do not understand. Resetting both device and modem doesn't help much. I am using the MPV player media player (which is a premium function) and have ticked the low-quality video decoding option. I am using MAG254 stb model and screen resolution is set on 1280x720. In the MAG settings, and in advanced settings, I put the buffer size up to 15 (max). I'm not sure what accelerated rendering option to choose or what else I'm missing?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks!

Accelerated rendering uses hardware rendering instead of software for browser only. I usually leave this disabled. I disable network cache also. It slows the loading of the app when you launch it first but I find less problems when it's off. ljk is the best media player to use. Never have any problems with it myself and the dev made it default because it works well with most devices and streams. I set the IP address of the device I'm using to static which also helps with freezing problems. Buffer size to 15 is best. The type of mag or firmware version you choose doesn't really matter. For example I have it as MAG 351 but it really doesn't matter as the dev says it's just for your IPTV provider to see what kind of device your using. It doesn't affect the app what so ever. Set DNS settings on both your device and modem to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. A wired connection or 5ghz WiFi is also the best if possible as 2.4ghz isn't great for any sort of streaming or downloading. Hope some of that helps.
