TVIP S 605 or Formuler Z7/8

How do you do fellow kids?

I post asking for help in choosing between these two boxes, the TVIP S 605 or the Formuler Z7/8 mainly for watching IPTV via Android TV apps or if available middlewares.

Being able to watch FHD and 4K is a must, must have ethernet is also a must.

I ditched the Xiaomi Box 4K because of the steady bluetooth bug (it disconnects and you can't use it until you pull out the plug). I will be getting rid of the MAG 256 due to the portal banning by INFOMIR.

Ps. being able to record iptv streaming is a bonus!

You should really consider a Nvidia Shield. I just made the jump after being reluctant for a long time. Now I'm getting Shields for all TV's in my house.

Get a shield. Netflix prime all supported.

Downside with the Z7/8 (I discovered today) is no Netflix/Hulu/Prime/etc but not sure if you care about such things.

I've had a Z7+ for over a year. The Z8 looks quite similar with a few hardware upgrades. For $200 I wouldn't recommend unless you plan on using strictly for IPTV. With Formuler you're pretty much paying for the MyTVOnline application. It's exclusive to their boxes and It's the closest I've had to a normal cable box experience. It's great when it works correctly. The way it originally pulled EPG data was a joke. You literally had to scroll through blocks of 5 channels at a time on the guide and wait for that block to load. They eventually fixed this and it pulls all the EPG data automatically now, but ymmv based on the provider, and sometimes it's still buggy. Support for other apps outside that is awful. YouTube, Netflix, Amazon are practically unusable due to it running Android mobile OS and not Android TV OS. Only additional app that runs half decent is Plex. If you're willing to spend that much, I'd recommend buying an Nvidia Shield. It will run everything you throw at it with the exception of it not having a perfect IPTV app. I'm hoping someday formuler realizes they can make more money selling software and just sell the MyTVOnline app. Everything they release hardware wise is underpowered and with compromises.

Formuler for sure. Hands down best Android box for 2019. Insanely good UI but still lower specs than the Nvidia Shield.

Dont know TVIP and I have Formuler so I am biased! You can attach USB HD and use it as DVR in Formuler.

I heard lots off good things about the new z8
