Hello, I just got a trial for IPTV service, it gave me directions to download IPTV Smarters Pro on Firestick, asked me to allow downloading from unknown services, not used IPTV before, is it a safe app?
Also, when downloading, will it have access to other apps I have installed on firestick from amazon store?

A lot of people use Smarters it is a safe app, I use it on my Android devices.
Sideloading it on you Firestick will not affect your other apps.

I didn't like IPTV Smarters (and Perfect Player) on my Firestick 4k....both were unstable and freezed. My personal favorite is StbEmu Pro. But yes, it should be a safe app to download.
You have to validate APK if it is not coming from Play store or App store
Go to metadefender or Nviso or Virustotal t9 scan it
Try XCIPTV from play store.
It's a good app, but I personally prefer tivi mate on the fire stick 4k
