4K Android box with ≥2GB RAM and dual 2.4/5GHz WiFi ≤$100 CAD

Hey all,

I need a box for my parents that I can load STBEmu onto and have it boot at start for simplicity. Needs a good remote, and the above mentioned specs so it doesn't lag.

In Canada, the Mi Box 3 is $120 plus tax, which I bought for myself and works great, but it is overkill for my parents. They'll never use it for anything other than streaming IPTV.

My logic for not wanting to use a MAG box -- I'm not comfortable giving money to a company who doesn't want their box used in the way I'm going to use it. I'm worried they will be successful in their attempts to block pirate IPTV and then it will be useless. I'm aware workarounds have been posted, I'm just not sure how long they will last.

$50 firesticks stream iptv flawlessly. Its runs our iptv and movie/tv apps.

Firestick 4k. Use StbEmu and autostart. I'm using it for Iptv and Kodi...streams my media flawlessy over WiFi (Kodi / Synology server).

Apparently the Formuler Z7+ is great for IPTV

Get something from dreamlink/formuler. If cash is limited, you can find the older models for cheap now. I still use an original T1, but the T2 prime or the formuler Z7+ look pretty tempting to me. I cant justify spending $200 on a z8, even if it is a pretty beast box!

Fire stick 4K goes on sale once in a while for $50 (black Friday) or $55 (around xmas). I'll bet it'll go on sale again in the next while if you can hold off. The $70 price tag is alright but you can get the better deal if you time it well too

Use an app called OnBootAppStarter to load up stbemu or whatever other app

You don't need 2 GB of RAM for IPTV; I use the OG fire stick that has like 490 MB available and it runs Perfect Player perfectly

Get one from AliExpress. I got a Transpeed one that is Android 8.1 and includes a remote and wireless keyboard for $35USD. Has 2GB and is 4k capable. Runs everything I need including IPTV, Kodi, Netflix, etc
