If I change from channel A to channel B then switch back to channel A (like with the left button - last channel) a lot of times I can't get the stream of channel A until I wait for a while and try again. Any idea why?

It's a provider issue, maybe throttling how quickly you may request streams
try ts instead of m3u8. this should solve your problem.
Use TiviMate. Switching back to previous channels is a breeze.
