VPN on Lg tv with Smart IPTV

by mujahid11288

Can anyone suggest a way I can use a VPN on my LG tv?

I’m using smart IPTV & SSIPTV and getting blocks when trying to watch EPL with Helix so I think a VPN is the way forward.

If your provider allows M3u files and VLC, buy a Chromecast for 30 quid and cast from a laptop or PC to the TV via this. On the pc/laptop sign upto a Vpn service. I use NordVPN. Got a great yearly deal in black Friday for £50. Also it can be shared with 3 other friends to bring the cost down some more.

Easiest way is to purchase a VPN subscription online and apply it to your router :) even the standard routers from your Internet provider allow you to apply VPN on them !

They sell routers with build in VPN from amazon, you just conekt to your existing router and your TV then conekt to new router with VPN build in. I use same system for me mag box.

It may be less hassle and cheaper to look for an alternative provider who is not subject to the EPL blocks. I am not aware of anyone being able to install a VPN service on a Virgin router. Liberty Shield is an option that will work with Virgin but the monthly cost is similar to purchasing a second IPTV service.

It comes with a month off subscription ,after that I think it is 50e a year. Wort it, just to give you some privacy on the net.

I'm running my VPN through my router RT-AC88U so any device which connects to your Wifi goes through the VPN but its much slower than normal.

Its a pain having to connect to a VPN through Helix so looking for a new provider which doesn't require a VPN.

Hey I did what everyone is telling you to do. Vpn router but I've found it unreliable. In hindsight I should have got a separate box for my iptv that supports vpn. That way I can take the box with me if I'm ever away.

I don't have any problems with smart iptv using helix and my UK isp but one thing I did a long time ago was to change the dns settings in my router. Someone more technical than me will hopefully say if that might help you! In answer to your other question, one the odd occasion I have used my VPN (Ivacy) set to UK with Helix I have had no streaming problems at all.

I tried to use a vpn on my asus router, but this was too slow.
Ended up setting up my raspberry pi as a vpn gateway. works well enough.
