If I open my stream in VLC on my computer, I have access to subtitles with a right click.
But if I open the same stream on my smart TV with the Smart IPTV app, which is supposed to handle subs, it says that there are no subtitles available.
I've tried with the IPTV plugin on my PLEX server, and still no subtitles (actually with this method I don't have subs even on my computer)
Is there a Samsung Smart TV app that handles subs? Or a way to make them work on Smart IPTV?
Send an email to the SIPTV developer, let him know about it. I wrote so if 100s users write, he may have do something with it finally. Some (most?) providers have HLS lists - I have never managed to have subtitles or audio tracks support via SIPTV + HLS and some have also TS lists - these were supported for both audio tracks and subtitles in SIPTV. I have Nvidia Shield. When I try another app called "IPTV" the tracks are there for HLS streams. Ask your provider for TS list if available. On a side note are the subtitles tracks provided by your provider also on the UK channels (Sky etc)?
siptv app is not the best app for using iptv at all. be 100 times better off getting a firestick (budget) and loading the masrters iptv app . simple login - easy to refresh channels and vod.
also you can select subtitles on or off for most content - hope that helps
Few IPTV stream provider contain the multiple subtitles. I watch IPTV of Japan TV channels via forjoytv site and there is no the extra subtitles on there.
It is a good feature for all IPTV users.
Does your provider have subs in the streams?
Which IPTV are you using that provides subtitles? Most of the on demand TV shows and movies i watched on TVzon didn't have subtitles in them
