Buffering issues

by Smoke24X

Hello everyone, so I have 3 boxes, nvidia shield 1st gen, minis neo u9-h, and the formuler z7 + when using my iptv not so much on live tv but on VOD they all buffer after just 10 minutes, I have try four different iptv sevice and they all seem to do it. I have a 500mbs service wich I get about 380mbs on my computer, or 350mbs on my devices with ethernet cable. A little less with 5g wifi, without VPN on, any ideas why am i still buffering, cus it's looks like it just keeps getting worse. All these people say they don't buffer I think they are lying. I can see an entire movie on cinema HD without buffering. Any help will be appreciated.

If your issues are localized to just the past few days, know that many providers are having issues with North American servers thanks to a cut fibre optic line in the US. This has caused a rerouting of ips, but its causing load issues and buffering across many different services.

If this is a more permanent issue that you have been experiencing for several days or weeks, I would imagine its a setup issue and some of the solutions already provider, like external players or using a different app might make a difference for you.

I see that a lot with my service and found the big fix. When in VOD I always select a external player and use VLC. Does the trick every time.

Yes, ipvanish, and strong VPN, when I use ipvanish it gets worse.

I use to have Vaders and it did buffer for me, quite a bit.

Have you used a VPN on the boxes?

Try using IPTV extreme app and check use external player in settings. I use Kodi or SPMC as external player for VOD using IPTV so I can download subtitiles.

Change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 and let me know how that goes. I'm tracking people's experiences doing this and so far the results have all been positive.

I definitely think it's the cut fiber only affecting certain providers. Same channel buffering badly on Network24 and not on Vaders. I am new to iptv but quickly realizing that you need multiple providers but they have to be using different servers. Just got lucky to pick these 2 and saved myself a ton of grief with the wife in the last few days.

Where do I change the DNS settings, on the box or router.

I use area 51. They are pretty good but right now they are not taking new orders. I have vader streams also good. Both were not buffering. And I just added network 24 mainly for the bigger Europe content. Buffering seems to be going away.

What about streaming from a regular computer, same result there?

I was also thinking about heating issues. This is probably not the problem but anyway... I know you have 3 boxes, but if you place them in the same space and the ventilation isn't good, then 10 minutes is more than enough to cause overheating.
