Can my mac address for my hisense smart tele change?

Hi! I did a software update on my smart tele a day or so ago and since then my IPTV (via smart IPTV app) on my hisense Tele isn't working, i decided to have a little look around and happened across my Mac address and noticed it wasn't the same one I had provided to my IPTV guy, did a little reading up and thought to check both my WiFi and Lan Mac addresses but neither matched what had clearly worked for my IPTV guy when he added the channels, I thought you couldn't change MAC addresses, but could the software update have done something maybe?...

The Hisense the NSA swapped your unit out for has a different mac address. No big deal.

The MAC address is a hardware assigned address. Their updates won't change it

Just simply ask your provider to change the MAC Address at his end as mostly provider can do that depending on thier panel

Software (especially a firmware upgrade) could change the MAC if they wanted to, but it’s highly irregular. They are generally fixed, but you can change it e.g a router is able to clone a MAC
