Channel lists?

by brandeded

It appears that many IPTV don't provide their channel lists. I assume this is for... reasons... but I'd like to know if there is a place that lists channels.

The IPTV comparison sheet in the sidebar excludes this data (and it appears pretty out of date, as it doesn't include several providers I've seen in this reddit over the past few days).

Thanks

Just assume they have the 3 you want and the 4,000 you don't need.

I can think of three main reasons. To replace sources that go down. Update live events sections (ppv, games etc) and if you carry thousands of channels from dozens of countries its just statistics that new channels pop up on the market, or some are closed all the time. Plus vod. I have three subs currently and when I refresh the lists through xtream editor daily I see the changes to the lists pretty much every day.

Your right on the channel lists being posted. Some feel it is a liability to have that posted on their sites. Ours isn't listed either but is updated automatically on a daily basis.

Helix publish their channel list under knowledgebase on their site.

I think this is mainly a case of resellers being lazy. If they don't get the channel list from their source, they usually don't take the time and effort to create the lists themselves. My favorite is having a channel list as a video. Like everyone has time to go through a 20-minute clip to see if they carry the channels you're interested in. And obviously they do not re-record it every time the channel list gets updated.

With providers updating their channels pretty much on a daily basis, such repository would become outdated pretty fast.
