I have a IPTV subscription with voodoo tv I was wondering how to reduce to frame skipping. Is there way to improve this. The box I'm using is called buzz tv. Do I need faster internet speeds or and different subscription. Currently download speeds around 15mbs download.
Frame skipping is usually caused by your TV not being able to handle the frame rates. Check your buzzbox and see if it's set to NTSC or PAL, or both. It's quite possible your TV might only be able to handle the frame rate of your native country, and IPTV feeds are a mishmash of frame rates.
Also, disable motion interpolation if you have it on.
Your best way to see if it is your TV, is to grab some files that are 24fps, 25fps and 29.97 fps and see what ones they stutter on and proceed from there.
