My mom presses too hard on the channel buttons and they don’t work anymore. Replacement options? In Canada

It depends on how old your mom is, but you could start with the local nursing homes.

Workboat

Split the thing apart and clean the grease out of it... throughly. Once cleaned the buttons will work again. Ask me how I know.

I've seen a tonne of DIY's for fixing this kind of problem. I believe most of the issues can be fixed by cleaning as someone else has mentioned, or by adding more conductive materials to the circuit board to ensure a better connection when the button is pressed.

Here's one I quickly googled: https://www.instructables.com/id/Fixing-Non-Working-Buttons-of-Any-Remote-Control/

But I also remember seeing a guide where someone used a metallic paste of some kind to make the circuit board conductive again. Maybe too much work but this remote looks like it's got some unique buttons that may be worth saving.

Good luck!
