Best value IPTV only box/stick for 1080p?

by TheTrueSurge

I know there’s a question for box recommendations every few hours, but I’ve failed to find one that fits with what I’m looking for. Apologies if it’s been covered already. Im fairly new in IPTVs.

I don’t need the best box/stick. I want one to power IPTV (M3U) viewing on a secondary 1080p TV which isn’t smart. That TV already has a roku stick so Netflix, Prime Video, etc is covered. As you know, IPTV apps are down on Roku. So literally I just need it to do IPTV at 1080p. All I require is for it to be snappy enough, Avoid buffering due to hardware limitations, and that it can provide the most “tv like” experience all things considered. I only have one IPTV provider (TNT, also value) which gives me m3u/m3u+ by either file or link.

I find top recommendations like the Shield a bit of an overkill for my needs. But I’m also a bit hesitant to get any generic Chinese box due to the bad reviews they get around here. I’d like to know what to look for and what to avoid.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Adding that I don’t need program recording.

2nd gen Firestick/Firestick 4K.

Latter is a bit snappier through menus etc. Former works great especially on a budget, but you might want the 4K for snappier navigation through tivimate.

I have the 2nd gen firestick.

Edit: Just wanted to say I also had a ROKU 4K before. Was pretty impossible for IPTV. Everything works well on firestick (IPTV, Netflix, PLEX etc..)

Get a fire stick 4k and use the tivimate app, it’s the best way to watch iptv imo, and the fire stick runs it pretty well.

I use one in all my bedrooms, and a shield as my main.

Get yourself a MiBox. It’ll do what you need and runs official AndroidTV OS. Not too expensive and available at Walmart in the US.

Another good option for IPTV only under $100 is to get a Formuler ZNano. Its a full function TV box with a full remote. Cable like experience. The MiBox would allow you to dump the Roku and run everything on the one box. The Formuler would not do Netflix, etc but will do TV better than any standard android box because of the proprietary MyTVOnline apk and full remote.

Drawback to Formuler might be that its better if using a Mac based subscription. It will take your m3u, but it would be better if you could get TNT to add your Mac address to the account.

Cheap chinese 2G/8G box from Amazon for 40 or 50 bucks. Wipe off all the preloaded crap and set up Tivimate or perfect Player from scratch. Test it right away. If it's not to your liking, return and try another box from amazon till you find something you like. or firestick/firetv with PP.

IPTV at 1080 doesn't really exist. Get a firestick 4k and you'll be fine.

Thanks for replying. What do you think about znano? Asking just to play iptv nothing else. Thank you in advance

I am currently using the H96 Max+ box from AliExpress. 4GB RAM 32GB ROM. Has a rockchip RK3328 Quad Core processor. It cost $41 shipped.

The IPTV app Encore or STBEMU works great. no freezes, the box is wicked quick and android tv is great.

Netflix and Prime video dont work with the provided remote and I have to use a wireless mouse to select the shows and options.
