Ok, I just started using IPTV. I have a smart tv and it has an app called Smart IPTV. I use the service with that app.
But, I am seeing terms like "mag device" or "enigma device" etc. Would my experience be better if I have one of such device?

Mag devices are good, but single purpose.
Enigma are good but you need to be reasonably tech savvy. Quite configurable, though.
Shield is a beast of a box but you do pay for it.
The Amazon FireTV is decent for the price and excellent remote.
Android boxes are cheap and there’s loads of apps but the remotes generally suck.
I'd say all depends on budget and what programs you want to use. Shield is king, but overkill for IPTV in some-cases. That being said it's rock solid. Go get a used one on ebay or similar. So many options on that.
Magboxes are solid, but simply do IPTV.
Firesticks are great esp the 4k.
Formuler z8 or z7 best box for IPTV.

Just IPTV -> Enigma2 device. It gives you a normal Stb experience.
If you’re using Kodi, IPTV, Netflix etc. Go for the Shield. Honoustly, just for IPTV the Shield is overkill and there are better options.
