Im checking out tivimate on my shield for the first time with the free version. Pretty awesome! But, I have a harmony remote and I am unable to punch in the channel numbers. Is this not a thing on this app?

You may need to program your Harmony. I'm using a Harmony 650 and a Flirc on a firestick, and have numbers working
