Vnp on android box with split tunneling

by britboyny

I have purevpn which would be great 8f it worked properly on my Android box. It has a feature called split tunneling that only tunnels for apps I select but the list doesn't show up my iptv app (tivimate) . Does anyone have any other suggestions. I can't use von for all apps as I use direct TV now

I doubt you'll be able to do what you want on Android, however, I split tunnel as you describe on my router.

I made my own custom router using free software called pfsense and you can route specific data to as many different VPNs as you like!

Not exactly the quickest solution to your question, but certainly the most effecient.

Works great to pass torrenting traffic etc through a vpn all while keeping other programs outside the vpn where latency is a concern (ie gaming)

You can do this on android and I do.

Use the openvpn for android app.

Put the .ovpn files onto your device then install through openvpn and then one of the menu options is allowed apps. Change this to only allow certain apps to go through the VPN and select as required.

Change settings to autostart and boot and job done. I have this setup and works flawlessly so family can use iPlayer etc without issue but IPTV apps are always behind the VPN.

No complaints.

Hi there,

Kindly add any browser on split tunneling and then check if the feature is working fine or not.

Moreover, please be advised that you cannot add IPTV app via split tunneling so we recommend you to use the app directly without it.
