"Smart IPTV" app on my LG (siptv.app) works fine but the interface is outdated and it doesn't support catch-up, plus my trial is up and I don't want to pay for activation since there are new better apps. Are there any providers supporting login with the just released IPTV Smarters Player app for LG Smart TV?
Providers have to change there dns settings for it to work
You can use Smart STB on your LG that is like Magbox and it works perfectly.
Your provider has to pay $125 to register their dns with smarters in order for it to work

You're always better to get a dedicated box than using the crappy software on your TV's. If you want all the features to work that your provider has, get a proper box.
Most m3u-based ones will work with the smarters app
