Best Android Application for IPTV with Catchup (i.e. Vader Streams)

by torqueNoFriction

Hello All,

I know this has been discussed a lot but I cannot seem to find the answer to this. I am looking for the best IPTV app to go along vader streams on android (i.e. Nvidia Shield). Ideally I want the video catchup to also be easily accessible and displayed. Besides that I am looking for something easy to use. So far I have found the following recommendations:

Vader App - Find it to be very buggy

Perfect Player - The catchup icon does not show up anywhere you need to click on channel to find it. Had trouble in the past with not all catchup videos being displayed in past.

STBEmulator - Worked well for me in the past.

Dol2 - Do not know where to download this, I had used it on the formuler at one point and I liked it.

Mytvonline - A lot of recommendations for this, but never tried it. People say not possible to download on android (but there is a download link via https://android-apk.app/com.siptv.mytv/ )

IPTV Smarters Pro - Seems to work well, but the catchup feature is in another page which is not very convenient.

Tivimate - Getting good reviews but no catchup feature implemented yet.

Please give me your input :)

MYTVONLINE is tied to Formuler boxes only

I find kodi the best for catchup.

Never used it but Tivimate gets good reviews.

Only (currently) works properly on AndroidTV which I believe you have on the Nvidia

Perfect Player is what I've settled for...I only use it when I need catchup. Keep in mind that catch up isn't available for all streams for Vader's.

For normal viewing, I used StreaminDVR as a LiveChannels source...I find it the cleanest looking/feeling approach, just lacks catchup. But does allow pause, record and rewind for live streams where most others don't.

Formuler / MyTVOnline is hands down the best. Can integrate M3U8 services as well as Mag type.

Use Perfect Player (paid for) on my phone and tablet. Works OK. Not the best interface. STBEmulator, tried it, found it to be way too slow.

I'm liking Tivimate right now.

I have Beast, and Vaders. I actually only use Vaders for the match center.

not true, if provider has catchup and you enter your m3u and change to xc it shows the catchup icon on all channels that has it available

xciptv is also pretty good but catchup is also on a seperate page

IPTV Extreme works well with Catchup, you will see a green icon to identify catchup channels. You can even download videos from catchup channels, I do that straight into my Plex setup (Nvidia Shield with attached drive), so I can watch it whenever I like.

Xciptv is the best I've found for catch up so far and I've tried I bunch if them.. only works with portals and not with a playlist ... It's simple and very easy to use the catch-up feature
