Has IPTV replaced the Satellite days?

by TheBigDawgRoman

Did IPTV essentially replace the good old Satellite with the typical Viewsat, Coolsat receivers?

I couldn't find a proper sub reddit to talk about this, this sub seemed like the closest one.

One thing I miss about the Satellite days is the direct feed instead of getting a feed from a streamer.

Absolutely, I used to hack the H and HU directv cards then moved on to dishnet and using DVB cards then it all went dark around 2009 and only card sharing remained. That's when I gave up. IPTV now is so much easier and you get so much more and a lot less headaches and down time. It's definitely worth the $10 a month or so for a subscription and you can still a lot of things once you get the signal like using TVH to setup your own DVR and guides to pipe it through out the house. You can have it everywhere you go on tablets, phones etc. Much, much easier..

There are still some sellers out there that still provide Bev and Dishnet using a system called Iks or card sharing.

It's depending on your location. Technically, Sattelite is still much better than IPTV, it's not even close.

IPTV killed CCCam/Card Sharing. Lots of people still have legit satellite service.

I would say so. No need for all the work to set up, just need Internet and a device and a good IPTV service. No worries about blackouts and getting new boxes.

ResIPTV

It sure has, much easier to do as well

Yes but where IPTV get their channels source? I mean sky uk channels are low quality and sourced from online apps , then you have lets say polish channels very high quality HD channels wich I guess are satelitte feeds from real cards Just saying,

An option that is semi-legit is to do your own card sharing, by getting one account and sharing it with 4-5 other people, depending on how many additional receivers you may order. It's always cheaper than getting separate accounts.

I know a fair number of people who do this for their cottages , which don't have the best internet access.
