How to select an android tv box decoder

by levalencia30

I am literally overwhelmed with so many options to get an android tv box, I dont have a tv yet, I have my PC with a 23 inch screen and there I use Kodi.

I miss a remote control, I have the app to control it, but its not a great app, so I want to buy an android tv box

How can I seelect one>? which ones are the best? what can you recommend me about this topic?

While the Shield is epic, you budget might not stretch to that. For a low end unit that’s made for TV - the Amazon FireTV is a quality piece of kit. Easy to sideload apps too using Apps2Fire and Downloader app.

Personally if your going to do it, do it right. The Nvidia Shields are the top of the line when it comes to Android Tv boxes, although on the high end of the price range.

I have both the Pro and the 16gig. I use them strictly for streaming as Im not into gaming.

You could keep it simple and just find a quality remote you like on a site like amazon. That’s what I do. I prefer I touch pad for mouse control but a lot of people like the gyro style mouse. They’re pretty cheap. The higher quality ones are Bluetooth so you may need a cheap usb Bluetooth adapter. The remotes that come with the boxes usually aren’t great either and I went this route to upgrade the remote for my mothers android box.

Just get a decent remote. Use Kodi with a addon from whichever iptv supplier works fine.

On the cheap side get a Firestick or similar.

As others have said the Shield is about as good as it gets, but pricey!

I love my "Beelink GT1 Ultimate 3gb/32gb" and I use a wireless mouse with it, much easier to use than the remote (which has a slow mouse function built-in). I cannot recommend it enough.

T95Q is a nice box for a reasonable price. Get them at aliexpress.com or gearbest.com
