I want to use my AppleTV, download an app for IPTV and point to a provider. Not really interested in constant tweaking and troubleshooting. Are there any options out there for me? I am assuming iPlayTV, but whats the best provider to throw at it?

IPTV smarters has an Apple app as well, you have quite a few choices now
I use IPTV with my AppleTV all the time. I have tried several apps and feel that GSE IPTV is the best app for it, although others will tell you different. I don’t, however, use it to look at a guide or need to search for programs a lot. I know what I want to watch and what channel it’s on so I only do that mainly. GSE IPTV has hardware and software decoding and I find that I NEVER run into buffering issues. I also have a shield which I watch IPTV on sometimes and occasionally it’ll buffer so I’l;l switch units and watch the same exact thing on the Apple TV with no buffering.
Feel free to ask me any questions.
I use iPlay TV. I've tried several different apps and always find myself right back at iPlay. My only complaint is that it currently doesn't support the catch-up feature if your provider has it. As far the "best provider" that's really something you'll need to find out for yourself. Many offer a trial. Give a few a try. See if the channel offerings meet your needs. See if you find the quality of the stream satisfactory (picture quality and stability). I use Helix with iPlay TV and for the price, I have zero complaints.
IPlaytv is the best when it comes to apple tv
You can use the GSE application on the Apple TV with a M3U. If you're still looking for a provider, PM me and I'll show you what I offer!
I use the GSE IPTV app on all apple products, I like it better than Smarters.
Iptv pro
I’ve tried any IPTV player worth trying on Android and Apple TV. I would say iPlayTV is one of the best if not the best IPTV player. Tivimate is the only one that can compare. But iPlayTV is absolute best in terms of intuitive control with the Apple TV remote. It’s lacking a few features like catchup and recording so if that’s important to you, then that might be a problem. Otherwise it’s the best.
In terms of providers, any m3u url should work. Check r/IPTVresellers and trial a few. Feel free to ask me any questions.
If you need some free trials check out my site http://thebeastip.tv/amember no commitment but def think may be worth while so you can get your feet wet.
I've use IplayTV and GSE, both will work just fine. I would recommend an account here: https://xtream-editor.com
You can plug in your m3u/epg urls and filter out the channels you don't want all online with a fixed url that you plug into the Apple TV app. Much easier than trying to maintain the list in an app.
StalkerTV works amazing on ATV
not sure if this provider is best for you, but I'd like to recommend it because their service is awesome. check it out at http://tvluux.com . good luck to you!
Helix as a provider. https://helixhosting.xyz/aff.php?aff=93
Smarters IPTV as the app on AppleTV.
Setupguide in Helix support section on their website.
As a iOS user , iplaytv makes these IPtv’s look crap . It’s free, and currently has more stable channels than most IPTV providers out there reaping people. Hoping it lasts longer this time but ain’t gonna cry for free things💪
My App Store doesn’t have iplay tv 📺 app, unless we talking about some different. Only thing I know for sure is , you can purchase Kodi from AppStore and then load onto your favorite add ons. Are sure you’re talking about iplay tv app that’s gotten channels all over the world ? Please advise!
Recommend Iptv smarters app. DM for a test.

I don't know much about Apple TV, except for the fact that there's nothing simple about IPTV on Apple TV.
Get a real box that supports all the features of IPTV. With an AppleTV you will be extremely limited in your options and your experience with IPTV will be utter shit.
Sorry but that's the truth.
Any m3u-based provider should work. Which one is the best depends really on your needs. Go to r/iptvresellers to find/ask what you're looking for.
