Currently using a MyGica box with IPTVsmarters fro a local reseller ($20/m)
I do not need 5000 channels, just basic CAN/US channels and some sports (NHL)
what are my best options? Thanks

look at r/IPTVReviews to make an informed decision.
Helix and TNT seems to be really popular recently for the price but anytime you ask this question youll get hounded by resellers that just want a buck
Check out IPTVreviews, try a few trials, don't listen to resellers.
Make your own decision, only way to avoid getting missold a load of shit
For an app I use TVMate - it's dynamite.
For an IPTV service look at /r/IPTVReviews like others have said.
Don't trust someone who posts a "DM me" here. Been seriously burned like that before.
I use Helix, and haven't had any issues with their service.
Helix. Mostly use it for NFL. Never had an issue watching games cause they usually have two options for each game stream. Runs well on my Shield. Fair price. Good support.
No, I'm not a reseller. I'm just a customer.
Customer only and only for the last 3 weeks.
I did a trial with Helix then bought the Triple Helix pack from them. Took a little bit of trial and error but its now working really well. In the Android app I selected VLC as the player, m3u8 as the stream type and native decoding. Very happy with Helix and even their Kodi add-on works well.
The second provider I tried was The Players Klub. Again some teething issues which their support team sorted very nicely. I use the same settings as Helix in the TPK app. Kodi add-on works very well.
In 3 weeks I've been happy but no idea for a longer term. Can't see why I'd change tho.
I'm using a Beelink GT1 Mini 4gb/64gb model so a Shield should have no issues at all. WiFi connection only.
I've been using Vader Streams for the last few years. It has worked well with Kodi, STBemu, exc. Initially their apk was unusable. However, the last few updates have been very stable on my Shields. It is getting to be a nice user experience.
Are you in the UK?
If you're still looking, I know a few that offer free trials that I've used and would recommend. PM me if you need the link.
It's also good to standby a good vpn in case your ISP throttle your speed and affect your viewing experience.
i'm a real person with real post history and i seemed to do everything right with firestick 4k, tivimate pro and bestbuyiptv, its exactly perfect and what i wanted. i think nvidia shield is overkill since my firestick 4k is working perfectly, so i feel like i saved 180 dollars or whatever plus have 10/10 quality streamin'
I'm probably alone on this, but I'd give MyIPTVNow or DreamTV a try (same service). It's more expensive than most, and you don't get as much, but you do get reliability, stability, and almost zero buffering (once in a blue moon, it freezes). You can activate the service simultaneously on 4 separate boxes under the same IP address. I think its' about $25 USD.
Area 51
Hey! I can give u a free trial to test
I offer Limitless covers US, Canada, UK, premium movie channels, and every sport you can think plus 3 you probably can't.
I inboxed you
Have you try provider called Ocean Iptv? www.oceaniptv.net i would definitely recommend this service.
They offer 24 trial, they accept paypal and bitcoin. Great experience with IPTV streams and the customer support. They answer fast, and they are also very friendly its good bonus :-)
i have use them for 6 months , i like them. I´m using Nvida Shield box and the gse player
Great Service i Give them 5 star.
I've been using oceaniptv.net for long time.
I would just like to say that I signed up for the Lifetime Subscription and it has been great over the last 5 years.
Ordering the service was quick and easy, everything that was supposed to happen did happen and the server works really well. Almost all channels are working without any buffering as advertised. Football channels work perfectly even during popular times Highly recommend the service provided. Great quality of picture
I would not necessarily follow the recommendations of other posters in this subreddit. Most of them want to sell you something and so naturally they will recommend what they are selling. If I were you I would try out a few services myself and then make my own decision. Look for services that either offer free trials or low cost trials such as 24 hours for $1. Then if you decide to subscribe start out on a month to month basis so if the service you subscribed to goes south you won't lose that much. Also, you can get perfectly good services in the $5-10 range so don't be suckered into paying $20 monthly or more. Also, be sure to check how many simultaneous streams if any you are allowed without having to pay extra..
