Good luck finding a replacement. VLC crashing every time I try to load a large m3u. Haven't found a suitable replacement yet.
I find the limit around 2000 channels. Best buy, vader and others allow you to choose which languages you want so you can slim it down

Usually it is just too many channels. You can ask your provider to remove channels. We can do that for our customers upon request.
