Hello,
Unfortunately none of the amazons are shipping the Fire Stick in my country. Im wondering if Roku is a good alternative.
My main concern is if I can sideload android apk for IPTV streaming. Also performance wise whats your opinion?
Thanks

No, get an android box.
Get the firestick. It's way better and what country are you from?
Roku does not allow sideloading of other apps. They have locked down the system completely. A simple search would have showed you that.
If you need a box, get ANY S905x box with at least 2 gigs of ram. Check freaktab in the firmware forum for community firmwares so you can fix the shit that the manufacturers don't do properly.
There is a steep learning curve to roku iptv friend it involves plex or emby and a case of red bull and h*ll maybe even a pack of slim jims
If you're looking to get a device, avoid Roku, if you already have a Roku you can still watch IPTV on it. See my comment in another thread there: https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTV/comments/b7tmrm/beasttv_on_roku/ejxbkdo?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
These methods require an Android phone/tablet to "cast" the channel from, from my experience only thing casted is the link, Android device doesn't need to be on once the Roku grabs the link. I like Server Cast because it doesn't need anything on the Roku and TVCast because it keeps, on your phone, categories in order so easier to search through. NONE of these actually compare to a real Android/IPTV device but it does the job. All of these work with m3u type accounts (format=m3u, not hls type links, I think that's because of the Roku itself), not MAC.
I would avoid at all cost. ROKU will block everything.
Just a thot since Roku is def not the best pick...
If 4 whatever reason a stick works best 4 U (as we wouldn't know your full 411)... do you have a friend in a country that can get the Fire stick, then just mail it to you?
Might be worth a try/effort if you have limited options. Just my 2c :-)
Cheers an gl
In last year or 2, Roku has been cracking down sideloading. I havent tried it in a long time, but Ive noticed developers are not updating their apps.
Roku does not install apks. Roku is not good for iptv as no apps.
